Verbos posicionales y estructuras reflexivas en maya yucateco

Resumen

Este trabajo compara el comportamiento semántico de los verbos posicionales del maya yucateco, en estructuras intransitivas y reflexivas. El análisis se hace a partir de la propuesta de Kemmer (1993), respecto a las situaciones típicas de voz media. El objetivo es mostrar que la diferencia de significado, entre lo intransitivo y lo reflexivo, radica en la distinción de eventos absolutos y energéticos (Maldonado, 1999), así como en el grado de control del único participante involucrado en ambas estructuras. En este análisis también se corrobora la similitud entre las formas intransitivas de los verbos posicionales y la voz media del maya yucateco.

Positional verbs and reflexive structures in Yucatec Mayan

Abstract
This work compares the semantic of positional verbs on Yucatec Maya, on one hand on reflexive structures and, on the other hand, on intransitive structures. The analysis is supported in the prototypical middle voice situations (Kemmer, 1993). The difference between the intransitive and the reflexive, is explained since the perspective about the absolute and energetic events (Maldonado, 1999), and the grade of control that the only one participant has in both structures.Finally it is proposed that there is a relation between the intransitive structures, positional verbs and the middle voice in Yucatec Maya.
