La actual narrativa mapuche: testimonio, memoria y “repetición”

Resumen

Diversas son las estrategias y recursos de la nueva narrativa mapuche, sin embargo todas ellas se cruzan amalgamadas con una finalidad: dar cuenta del tránsito histórico y sociocultural del pueblo mapuche al interior de los procesos hegemónicos.

Autores como Graciela Huinao, Ruth Fuentealba Millaguir, Miguel Ángel Antipan y Jorge Quelempan, a través de la novela y el cuento, buscan construir una visión certera y detallada sobre estos acontecimientos, aludiendo permanentemente a los elementos de la memoria ancestral y al relato testimonial; desde este punto de vista la estrategia escritural gira hacia el tiempo anterior como acto de "repetición" al modo de Deleuze, una insistencia anclada en la orientación epistemológica de estos relatos que busca en los orígenes del contacto cultural comprender su devenir como pueblo y en el presente evaluar su posición respecto de la sociedad mayoritaria.

Present mapuche narrative: testimony, memory and "repetition" - Abstract

Present Mapuche narrative has developed different resources and strategies, nevertheless, ali of them melt into one purpose: to portray the sociocultural and historical trail undergone by Mapuche people inside the hegemonic processes of the majority society.

Representatives of Mapuche prose writers in novel and short story such as Graciela Huinao, Ruth Fueltealba Millaguir, Miguel Ángel Antipan and Jorge Quelempan look for an accurate and detailed portrait of those events recalling past memories and testimonies of their elders. From this point of view, the writing strategy turns around the ancient early past time in an act of "repetition" in Deleuze style, a kind of anchored insistence in the epistemological orientation of the stories looking far their origin in the cross cultural contact so to understand its flow of life as people and to evaluate its position in the majority society.
