The Revista de Lenguas y Literatura Indoamericanas or RLLI (ISSN (e) 2735-6612) is an electronic publication of the Department of Language, Literature and Communication of the Universidad de La Frontera.
It follows the tradition established by the Revista de Lengua y Literatura Mapuche (print ISSN 0716-6869), a specialized publication that, since 1984, has been dedicated to investigations about the language, literature and culture of the Mapuche people. The RLLI broadens the scope of these studies and aims to become a forum for discussion and dissemination of research, and critical reflection about the ancestral Indo-American cultures, including those Indo-American cultures in situations of cultural contact, throughout the vast geographical area from Canada in the North, down to Tierra del Fuego in the South.
The RLLI focuses on studies related to language and literature of Indo-American peoples, and other related areas. Its scope includes research about linguistics, literature, intercultural communication, discourse studies, intercultural education and ethnography.
RLLI is a peer-reviewed journal that has an international scientific committee and editorial board. It publishes invited plenary sessions, unpublished scientific articles —resulting from research projects or other original and significant research in fields related to the journal— book reviews, notes, and interviews.
